Maria Inês Marcondes de Souza is a professor and the Director of the Education Department at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio, or PUC-Rio University. She is also the Brazilian Representative of the International Study Association on Teachers and Teaching (ISATT) and has been a visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge. She is a specialist in Paulo Freire’s approach to education and has recently published an article on Paulo Freire as International Author, in the academic journal E-Curriculum of the PUC of São-Paulo. She has also co-organized a monograph on The Education of Paulo Freire in the Latin-American Contexts (Belem: UEPA, 2018)
