Jean-Marie Durand is a French journalist. He was the deputy editor in chief of Les Inrockuptibles from 1997 to 2018 where he covered the media, ideas, and art. He is the author of Le Cool dans nos veines (Robert Laffont, 2015) and 1977, année électrique (Robert Laffont, 2017), and recently Homo Intellectus: Une enquête (hexagonale) sur une espèce en voie de réinvention which was published in March 2019.
