Augusto Jobim do Amaral is a political theorist and researcher at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. His areas of concentration are criminal justice systems, violence, crime, punitive culture, and public safety as well as ethics, political philosophy of the state and theories of justice.
