Dominic Terrel Walker is the elected Chair of the Student Workers of Columbia-UAW 2710 and a PhD candidate in Sociology. His dissertation investigates transitional school programs: non-profit organizations that recruit poor and working-class youth of color and prepare them to transition from mostly public schools in urban communities to elite, private schools.
