October 10, 2017 | Attorney General Pushes for Execution Date Again and Accuses Doyle Hamm of Delay


“Hamm’s argument is nothing but a bald request for an undetermined delay of his execution,” the Attorney General claimed on October 10, 2017, in a further pleading urging the Alabama Supreme Court to simply set an execution date and ignore the medical evidence regarding Doyle Hamm’s cancer. Replete with inaccurate statements and false information–stating, for instance, that “a physician for the Department of Corrections
indicated that there is no evidence of ocular lymphoma” when in fact the person who might have said that was not even a doctor–the Attorney General has continued to pressure the Supreme Court to make an error and set a date for Mr. Hamm’s execution. The Attorney General’s pleading is here:
