Halberstam is the author of seven books including:\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dukeupress.edu\/skin-shows\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Skin Shows: Gothic Horror and the Technology of Monsters<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>(Duke UP, 1995),\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dukeupress.edu\/female-masculinity-twentieth-anniversary-edition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Female Masculinity<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>(Duke UP, 1998),\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/nyupress.org\/9780814735855\/in-a-queer-time-and-place\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>In A Queer Time and Place<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>(NYU Press, 2005),\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dukeupress.edu\/the-queer-art-of-failure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Queer Art of Failure\u00a0<\/em><\/a>(Duke UP, 2011),\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jackhalberstam.com\/gaga-feminism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Gaga Feminism: Sex, Gender, and the End of Normal<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>(Beacon Press, 2012) and, a short book titled<em>\u00a0T<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ucpress.edu\/book\/9780520292697\/trans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rans*: A Quick and Quirky Account of Gender Variance<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(University of California Press).\u00a0 Halberstam\u2019s latest book, out in 2020, from Duke UP is titled\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dukeupress.edu\/wild-things\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Wild Things: The Disorder of Desire<\/em><\/a>. Places Journal awarded Halberstam its Arcus\/Places Prize in 2018 for innovative public scholarship on the relationship between gender, sexuality and the built environment.
