His latest book is\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.upenn.edu\/pennpress\/book\/15615.html\">What is Populism?<\/a><\/em>\u00a0His\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">research interests include the history of modern political thought, democratic theory, constitutionalism, religion and politics, and the normative dimensions of European integration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Professor Mueller has been a fellow at All Souls College, Oxford, the Collegium Budapest Institute for Advanced Study, the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies, the Center for European Studies, Harvard University, the Remarque Institute, NYU, and the European University Institute, Florence; he has also been a Member of the Institute of Advanced Study Princeton. \u00a0He has taught as a visiting professor at the EHESS, Paris, Sciences Po, Paris, as well as Humboldt University, Berlin, and LMU, Munich. In 2011 he delivered the Carlyle Lectures in the History of Political Thought at Oxford University and in 2017 the Tanner Lectures at Cambridge University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">At Princeton Jan-Werner Mueller directs the Project in the History of Political Thought at the University Center for Human Values.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jan-Werner M\u00fcller is a professor of politics at Princeton University.
