She is professor of French, Francophone studies and Comparative Literature. She is also the former Director of the Penn African Studies Center. She has been a visiting professor at UCLA, UC Berkeley, Columbia University, Universit\u00e9 Paris 13, Queen&#8217;s University and the Johns Hopkins University.<\/p>\n<p>Her research and publications focus on contemporary fiction with a connection to the (former) French colonies, including the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa and hexagonal France. Her books include <em>L\u2019\u00e9crivain antillais au miroir de sa litt\u00e9rature<\/em> (1997), <em>Litt\u00e9ratures africaines 1980-1990<\/em> (2003), <em>Parades postcoloniales<\/em> (2007) and as editor, <em>L\u2019Exposition postcoloniale<\/em>, a collections of essays on representations of the African body ( 2006). She is the author of numerous essays on Francophone studies as a discipline and on individual authors such as, recently, Edouard Glissant, Maryse Cond\u00e9, Le Cl\u00e9zio and Marie NDiaye.<\/p>\n<p>Lydie Moudileno&#8217;s more recent publications include:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sas.upenn.edu\/french\/Moudileno%20Intro%20Esprit%20Cr%C3%A9ateur.pdf\">Marie NDiaye&#8217;s Worlds\/Mondes de Marie NDiaye<\/a><\/em>.
