Adam Tooze is Kathryn Shelby Cullom Davis Professor of History at Columbia University. His current research engages in twentieth century and contemporary global history, but Professor Tooze has published broadly in the fields of modern German history and economic history. His recent book <\/span>The Deluge: The Great War, America and the Remaking of the Global Order<\/span><\/i><\/a> won the 2015 <\/span>Los Angeles Book Prize <\/span><\/i>for history. \u00a0Adam Tooze is also the author of <\/span>Wages of Destruction: The Making and Breaking of the Nazi Economy<\/span><\/i><\/a>\u00a0and <\/span>Statistics and the German State 1900-1945: The Making of Modern Economic Knowledge<\/span><\/i><\/a>. Before joining the Columbia faculty this year, Professor Tooze taught at Yale University. \u00a0He recently co-edited the third volume of the <\/span>Cambridge History of the Second World War<\/span><\/i><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
