The Sabin Center\u2019s new resource, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web.law.columbia.edu\/sites\/default\/files\/microsites\/climate-change\/files\/Resources\/model_local_laws_for_adaptation_may_2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Local Law Provisions for Climate Chan<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/web.law.columbia.edu\/sites\/default\/files\/microsites\/climate-change\/files\/Resources\/model_local_laws_for_adaptation_may_2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">ge Adaptation<\/a><\/strong>, complements the state agencies\u2019 ongoing efforts by compiling existing provisions of state and local laws\u2014and suggesting some new ones\u2014that can help local governments looking to adapt effectively to these climate impacts. The provisions are broadly divided into the categories of Permitting Review, Targeted Development Restrictions and Prudent Development, and Shoreline\u00a0Protection\/Armoring.
