\"\"<\/a>Today, Emma Shumway joins the Sabin Center as a Climate Justice Fellow. Her work focuses on the environmental justice and equity implications of developments in climate change law and policy at the national, state, and local levels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Emma graduated from Columbia Law School in 2023, where she was a Ruth Bader Ginsburg Scholar. At the Law School, she was a Max Berger ’71 Public Interest\/Public Service Fellow, Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law, and a member of the Environmental Law Moot team. Emma was a summer legal intern for the Environmental Defense Fund and the Earthjustice Northeast Office, as well as an extern with EPA Region 2 and the New York City Department Environmental Division. Prior to law school, Emma was an organizer for Environment America. She received her B.A. from Middlebury College in 2018.<\/p>\n
