Much of the public debate relating to climate change has focused on the validity of the underlying science. In order to bring their investors clarity regarding these issues, Deutsche Bank recently released a research paper prepared by the Columbia Climate Center at the Earth Institute that assesses climate skeptics’ various assertions. Principal among these assertions are that climate change is not happening, it is not caused by humans, and it is not a serious problem.<\/p>\n

The paper confirms that arguments presented by skeptics do not undermine the established scientific consensus on climate change. It\u00a0examines skeptics’ arguments claim-by-claim, finding each of them baseless and supporting its position with\u00a0the latest peer-reviewed scientific publications. It concludes that investors who fail to insure against the very high likelihood of substantial warming are taking an unreasonable gamble.
