She also authored blog posts and was a guest speaker on a podcast on the topic. Others at the Sabin Center, including Michael Gerrard, have also spoken about the IRA in television interviews and other forums.<\/li>\n<li>Maria Antonia Tigre continues to build out the <a href=\"https:\/\/climate.law.columbia.edu\/content\/global-network-peer-reviewers-climate-litigation\">Peer Review Network on Global Climate Litigation<\/a>, which includes rapporteurs from around the world who help to ensure the Center\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/climatecasechart.com\/non-us-climate-change-litigation\/\">global climate litigation database<\/a> is up to date. Maria Antonia and others at the Sabin Center, including Michael Burger, have also recently given numerous talks on climate litigation \u2013 on recent developments in climate law in the U.S. and abroad, as well as on rights-based climate lawsuits and trends.<\/li>\n<li>Romany Webb, Korey Silverman-Roati and Carolina Arlota have been highly active in the <a href=\"https:\/\/climate.law.columbia.edu\/content\/negative-emissions\">Negative Emissions<\/a> space, giving numerous talks at conferences, forums and roundtables. Romany Webb was appointed to several steering committees convened by, among others, the National Sea Grant Law Center and the American Geophysical Union. She also gave a briefing to Congressional staffers on the 2022 National Academies of Sciences\u2019 report on \u201cA Research Strategy for Ocean-based Carbon Dioxide Removal and Sequestration.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/climate.law.columbia.edu\/content\/renewable-energy-legal-defense-initiative\">Renewable Energy Legal Defense Initiative<\/a>\u00a0(RELDI) continues to represent community groups and local residents who support renewable energy development, including local farmers in Ohio and local landowners in Michigan.<\/li>\n<li>The Sabin Center launched a new project with WE ACT for Environmental Justice to develop model legislation related to environmental justice, cumulative impact analysis, and permit renewals for polluting facilities.<\/li>\n<li>The Center continues to maintain the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lpdd.org\/\">Model Laws for Deep Decarbonization in the United States<\/a>\u00a0website. More than thirty pro bono law firms are at work drafting model laws as part of this project. The Center is currently cooperating with legal scholars in Brazil and Australia who are undertaking similar projects in those countries.<\/li>\n<li>The Center sponsored\/co-sponsored numerous online and in-person events and conferences and published articles on a variety of topics, including:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/scholarship.law.columbia.edu\/faculty_scholarship\/3637\/\">Removing Carbon Dioxide Through Ocean Fertilization: Legal Challenges and Opportunities<\/a>, by Korey Silverman Roati, Romany M. Webb, and Michael B. Gerrard (July 2022)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/scholarship.law.columbia.edu\/faculty_scholarship\/3523\/\">Permitting Seaweed Cultivation for Carbon Sequestration in California: Barriers and Recommendations<\/a>, by Korey Silverman Roati, Romany M. Webb, and Michael B.
