Sabin Center senior fellow Amy Turner is among the new board members. The board will advise Chief Climate Officer and DEP Commissioner Rohit Aggarwala and the Mayor\u2019s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice\u2019s (MOCEJ) Executive Director Kizzy Charles-Guzm\u00e1n on the city and climate and sustainability strategy in connection with a forthcoming update to the city\u2019s PlaNYC climate plan, which is set to be released in April 2023.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cNew York City has some of the most ambitious and equitable climate policy in the country,\u201d said\u00a0Amy Turner<strong>.<\/strong> \u201cI am thrilled to be working with this distinguished group and committed to New York City\u2019s resilient, equitable, and low-greenhouse gas future.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Amy co-authored the Sabin Center\u2019s 2021 report <a href=\"https:\/\/scholarship.law.columbia.edu\/sabin_climate_change\/2\/\"><em>Cities Climate Law: A Legal Framework for Local Action in the U.S.<\/em><\/a>, which delineates the legal aspects of local greenhouse gas reduction policy.
