Sparks will fly this Thursday, at the screening of the award winning Indian film Katiyabaaz.

About the film: Katiyabaaz is a documentary film about the electricity supply in an Indian city, the story unfurling along the tangled wires and tracing out lines of conflict of a diabolical complexity, that unfolds in several towns and cities across the country.

The film premiered at the 63rd Berlinale and Tribeca Film Festival in 2013. It has since been screened at 40 international film festivals and won the Golden Gateway award at it’s Indian premier at the Mumbai Film Festival. The film explores issues of governance, public policy, energy policy and Indian politics. Please see the invite below, and feel free to spread the word among colleagues and students at CU.

Both directors will be in attendance.
