Caitlyn Carpenter ’15 Awarded Skadden Fellowship
As a recently named Skadden Fellow, Caitlyn Carpenter will join a select group of law school graduates who wish to devote their professional lives to providing legal services to people who are poor, elderly, homeless, disabled, or deprived of civil or human rights. She will spend two years at the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, working with young, indigent parents involved with the child welfare system. Learn more about Caitlyn.
Mimi Wu ’15 Selected for Ethics Fellowship
Three-Year J.D./M.B.A. candidate, Mimi Wu will spend two weeks in Germany and Poland after being selected to participate in Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FAPSE) for an intensive study of contemporary ethics. Reflecting on her time at Columbia, Mimi shared, “I think lawyers and business people have very different conceptions of what the role of a lawyer is and should be, and I’m excited to be able to explore this issue more thoroughly through the fellowship.” Read more about Mimi.
